Back Story: Our goal to breed fox-red Goldadors originated from the first dog we ever owned: Annabel! Annie, as we called her, came from an "accident" litter between a yellow labrador retriever and golden retriever. She was a beautiful, short-haired, dark red, Goldador who routinely skied, hiked and played with us. Sadly, she died in an accident at the young age of two-years-old.
Our search for a red Goldador was fruitless; so, we decided to seek a female yellow Labrador Retriever that we could breed to get our own Goldador line established. After much searching, we found a breeder who had a yellow lab that produced red-colored puppies in each litter. Ember was the perfect pick, a soft and caring little red lady.
Ember quickly grew to be a loving family member. She spent hours on the road with us traveling, hiked mile after mile, and retrieved every thrown ball. She developed into a great family and sport dog.
Once she was of age, we sought out a caring and adventurous Golden Retriever stud. We were referred to Jester but needed to be assured he had the playful and kind demeanor we desired. Wow, he won us over when he rested his head in our laps and stayed by our sides when we visited the kennel.
On August 3rd, our little Ember delivered a beautiful litter of ten fox-red Goldadors.
